CATHOLICISM – As a Catholic School we support our children’s spirituality. Students not only develop academically, they develop morally and spiritually. Conscience development is very much at the forefront of our faith. Students understand right from wrong and we adhere to the Christian principle of treating others the way they would like to be treated. Not only are students giving via service projects they are found at weekly mass and in service on the altar.
ACADEMICS– St. Peter School offers a rigorous curriculum. Our students are ready for high school. Students graduating from St. Peter are accepted into Loyola Academy, Niles Township Honors Program, Regina, Notre Dame, and other area high schools. 73% of St. Peter School, 8th grade algebra students placed in honors algebra or higher for the 2010-2011 school year. Elementary school is the foundation for future education. Our students have entered such prestigious universities as Notre Dame, University of Chicago, University of Illinois, Northwestern, and many more.
STUDENT-TEACHER RATIO – While we have an extensive curriculum, which includes such courses as algebra I, pre-algebra, science, computers, music, band, Spanish, and physical education, we have a small class size. Our 12-1 student to teacher ratio allows more one on one learning time for your child.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT – We pride St. Peter on being a bully-free zone. Our students are very welcoming and as a result of our Catholic faith and religion classes we have cultivated a safe environment through moral development. The area of Skokie is well cared for and the neighborhood is secure for children to walk to and from school.
TECHNOLOGY– Along with our state of the art computer lab, we have virtually every classroom in the school equipped with a Smart Board. A graduate of St. Peter will not only know how to utilize a keyboard, but will also be prepared to enter high school with skills necessary for one to be successful in the 21st century.
DEDICATED FACULTY – Our faculty is willing to meet with our students before or after school. Teachers will stay after school to aid a student who simply needs extra help and will stay with the student until they understand the concepts. There is also a before and after school program for Pre-K – 8th Grade where students can do homework, read, study or play games. Our teachers truly care about their students. As Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.”
SPORTS PROGRAM – We have numerous offerings at St. Peter School. Our team sports programs begin at 4th grade for boys and girls. Sports include girls and boys volleyball, girls and boys basketball, cheerleading and football. Also, intramural sports begin at St. Peter in the 3rd grade. We promote unity and the ideals of teamwork in a safe Catholic environment.
COMMUNITY OF PARENTS – Our parent community is involved in numerous aspects of their child’s learning. Through our Parent/Teacher Organization, Booster Club, and Advisory Board; parents are very much involved in their child’s education at St. Peter School.
STUDENT CLUBS– St. Peter School offers numerous clubs and activities to expand our students’ minds. The Mad Science Club, Math Club, Spirit Club, Acting Club, Dance Club, Art Club, Band, Student Council, Chess Club and many more are opportunities for students to be engaged outside of class at St. Peter School.
